Bluesman David 'Honey Boy' Edwards dead at 96

CHICAGO — Grammy-winning Blues musician David "Honey Boy" Edwards, believed to be the oldest surviving Delta bluesman and whose roots stretched back to blues legend Robert Johnson, died early Monday in his Chicago home, his manager said. He was 96.

Edwards had a weak heart and his health seriously declined in May, when the guitarist had to cancel concerts scheduled through November, said his longtime manager, Michael Frank of Earwig Music…

Question on double 3 stringer

Posted on October 21, 2010 at 12:29pm 3 Comments

On a double 3 stringer what size strings do you use and how do you tune it? Is each string an octative above the base string that it is paired with like on a normal 12 string? If so, does that mean that (counting from the bottom) strings 1 and 2 and 6 are all the same size and tuned to the same note?

Thank  you Dan for your comment. I started playing guitar in the late 70s and in addition to teaching music, I am also a certified teacher in Tai Chi Chuan and Chi Kung. http://youtu.be/Rt4dX7gSMY4  Theory is great stuff. A simple concept when applied to the guitar can uncover endless possibilities. It can be confusing and challenging at times, but well worth the effort. As you fit the pieces of the puzzle together, your vision becomes clearer and broad. Enjoy your practice.

Hello Dan, Thank you for the concern. All is well. I have been working on 6 string videos lately and the new series of Gospel lessons. In general, here and on CBN I try only to post CBG related videos. I've been posting more regular and resonator  guitar videos lately on youtube and facebook, so this accounts for my disappearance. Hope all is well with you too. Enjoy, Keni Lee

Good to hear from you and my apologies for not showing my face here more often. Been terribly busy the past few weeks trying to get so many orders filled, but mainly the ones in the picture I just uploaded. God bless! =)
