Ale81 is a soft drink from Eastern KY, can't find it anywhere else. Been around since 1928 I think. Bottles make killer slides. If you like Ginger Ale, try to find some, you'll like the drink too.

"I love the one-string bro! The 1st known string inst was traced back to cave drawings. It was 1-string with a long scale. It's just a primal thang I guess."

"Hey Ted! I tried running the string thru the can myself. With the right can, big wire & scale length; it'd be a great Diddley Bass."

"Well I now have some other starting points for mine. The two with cans, are the strings run through the can itself? I imagine it's got a deep tone."

Hi Kevin, welcome to the Clubhouse!

The focus here is on all types of handmade instruments and music. There are lots of helpful builders and players here and lots of Groups to teach and learn. We welcome participation so don't be shy.

Have a look around, introduce yourself in My Name Is... and add yourself to the Member Map. There's an active Chat Room where you can ask questions, offer help or just talk about anything with some great folks.

Most of all Have Fun!
