In a chat about cutting bottle neck slides, I remembered I had this old gadget, a yard sale find, which may or may not be an antique glass cutter for cutting gauge tubes for steam things. So I had to find it... and then I had to try it out.

On Ted's suggestion, I'm blogging to document my first build. Fair warning, I don't know what I am doing so I am just figuring it out as I go and gleaming information wherever I can. Thanks for the words of encouragement Nancy...you're right about the economy...things are as tight up here in Canada as they are down in the States.
Writing for a CBG magazine? Now that would be something. Good for teh cause...spreading the joy of Mojo to the world. Maybe if more people built instruments and played music, instead of building bombs and playing god, the world would be a more peaceful place.

Our kitty is a Burmese....thot maybe a bombay at one time--but after seeing some pics, def a burma......yesterday he caught a big BIG rodent, so he's my hero, this week......he is steady with doormat "gifts" so we watch our step, around here...hehe

Flash is messing with the colors, making the black look gray, etc. This is Lexol Day for 3 guitar straps... one for rrd, one for my dad (the Ted with the Bears & Oak Leaves) and one I don't know if I am going to keep the tooled rose & floral strap for me or auction it off on ebay, haven't decided yet. Everything was freshly coated with Lexol leather conditioner just before this photo. I'll let it rest 24 hours, then buff it out, start on the finish coats.
