So I'd really like to be able to lay down a percussive beat while playing so I decided to try a tongue drum built into a git. I've never made a tongue drum before but thought what the Heck. To make the tongue drum work I chose 3/4" mahogany, but that left a problem because the sound board is so thick I wouldn't make an acoustic git worth a crap. I decided to finally employ this aluminum cone I got from Old Lowe a while back. It's a six incher. I went a head full steam and cut the tongues out…

So here's my first license plate resonator. It's an old plate I got from my Father in law when he passed. He had it in his bedroom hanging on the wall. I'm using two one inch dowels.
